Lovely cafe/bar inside the bike store. It's a good place to chill out after exploring downtown, the nearby trails or KU.
We have lived in Lawrence for three years and ate here for the first time. Dang! We were missing out. If you want great coffee options with the best breakfast burritos in town, THIS is the place. We had the breakfast burrito and biscuits & gravy. Both are outstanding. The salsa that came with the burrito is easily the best salsa in Lawrence (sorry El Porto we still love you too). Great staff, our waitress was excellent, friendly and attentive.
Ok so to start, my wife wanted me to let everyone know that she received compliments on both her hair and her dress while here sooo…testament to the atmosphere I suppose? Everything is great from coffee to cocktails, make sure this place is a priority while you’re on Mass street.
A hidden gem. The food is surprisingly good. I think its the best place in town to find a table to work at during the day.
Hip local coffee shop with a bike shop attached. Interesting and unique concept with a lot of space for both bikes and the coffee shop. We were there in the morning and had a breakfast burrito, egg sandwich and a BLT with egg. All were delicious and well prepared. We also had an Americano, a Cappuccino and a latte and all passed with flying colors. Interesting tidbit is that Valteri Bottas, a Formula One driver, visited this place while competing in a bike race held in Lawrence. He will probably continue to visit for as long as he competes in the race which happened to be held the weekend before the Formula One Austin race.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. I was expecting mediocre food from a cafe inside a bike shop but everything we had was absolutely delicious. We ordered the curry chicken salad, a burger, and the soft pretzel. The sandwiches came with fries that were perfect. Pricey but worth it.
My favorite coffee shop in town. Best London fogs, Best vibes for studying, reading, Journaling and catching up with friends. Amazing food.
Sunflower Cafe is such a boon to the downtown Lawrence community. It’s often where we stop for a coffee on our way to the farmers market on Saturday mornings. The upstairs lounge is perfect for a coffee meet-up with a friend or an evening glass of wine with a good book. The service is always prompt and friendly. The food is simple, but good. And the coffee is top notch.
It's an adorable cafe/pub in the back of the bike shop. Although it was busy, we were still served quickly by very sweet staff. I had a hot chai with a dash of very aromatic cinnamon on top. Smelled and tasted amazing! I also ordered the falafel burger. This was hands down the best falafel I've ever had. The side of fries was delicious as well. Seasoned and fried just right. Next time you are in Lawrence, Sunflower Cafe & Pub is a must stop.
Our book club came here to meet for the month of October. We got coffee & breakfast! Everything was delicious😋! We spent probably 2 hours there just eating, talking & enjoying the atmosphere. Huge space upstairs, they were so busy but it's so big & spread out you don't feel crammed in like sardines. Can't wait to go back!
